Née en 1984 à Lyon, Aurélienne BRAUNER débute le violoncelle avec Paul Rousseau et poursuit ses études au CNR de Bordeaux dans la classe d’Etienne Péclard. Dès l'âge de 13 ans, elle donne des récitals et joue en soliste avec orchestre. En 1999, elle est admise à l'unanimité au CNSMDP dans la classe de Philippe Muller et obtient son Prix en juin 2003 avec mention Très Bien à l'unanimité, accompagné de la bourse Feydeau de Brou Saint-Paul.
Aurélienne a bénéficié des conseils de grands interprètes parmi lesquels Mstislav Rostropovitch, Gary Hoffman, Ralph Kirshbaum et récemment Natalia Shakhovskaya à Moscou et Madrid.
Lauréate de plusieurs concours internationaux, elle reçoit le prix d’interprétation au concours Lutoslawski à Varsovie en 2001 et un prix spécial à Markneukirchen (Allemagne) en 2005. Elle remporte en 2004 l’une des trois bourses britanniques de la Yamaha Music Foundation à Londres.
Aurélienne se produit fréquemment en France et à l’étranger : en tournée en Angleterre en soliste avec l’orchestre du RNCM, aux Nuits musicales catalanes avec Patrice Fontanarosa et Roland Pidoux, à la Cité de la Musique, sur la scène du Phénix de Valenciennes, etc. Elle est régulièrement invitée dans les académies et festivals internationaux : Maurice Ravel, Pablo Casals, La Roque d’Antheron, le festival européen Jeunes Talents, Ravinia aux Etats-Unis, Gustav Mahler à Ferrare (Italie), Verbier, Lucerne (Suisse) avec Pierre Boulez, Santander (Espagne).
Elève en cycle de Perfectionnement chez Philippe Muller, Aurélienne a représenté le Conservatoire de Paris au festival Chamberfest à New York et au « Kyoto International Music Students Festival ». Elle a été notamment lauréate boursière du Mécénat Musical Société Générale pour 2006-2007 et nommée Révélation classique de l'Adami 2007.

Born in 1984 in Lyon, France, Aurélienne began studying cello with Paul Rousseau, and then at the Bordeaux Conservatory under Etienne Péclard. At 13 she gave her first solo recital. Admitted by unanimous jury vote to the class of Philippe Muller at the Paris Conservatory (CNSMDP) in 1999, she won her Cello Prize in 2003 with highest honours, and the Feydeau de Brou Saint-Paul Award as a top instrumentalist.
She received a French government scholarship to study two years with Russian cellist Karine Georgian at Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM) of Manchester and studied chamber music in Paris with pianist Emmanuel Christien in Claire Désert and Ami Flammer’s class, again with highest honours.
She complemented her studies by taking master classes and lessons with Mstislav Rostropovitch, Gary Hoffman, Ralph Kirshbaum, and Natalia Shakovskaya in Moscow, and many others.
International competition successes include the interpretation prize in Warsaw (2001), one of the three British orchestral string scholarships from the Yamaha Music Foundation of Europe in London (2004), and a special jury prize in Markneukirchen, Germany (2005).
Aurélienne toured in England as a soloist with the RNCM orchestra. In France she performed in several venues in Paris and such events as Catalonian Musical Nights with P. Fontanarosa and R. Pidoux. She has been regularly invited to international Academies and Festivals including those of Pablo Casals, Maurice Ravel, La Roque d'Anthéron, European festival Young Talents, France; Ravinia,USA; Verbier and Lucerne under Pierre Boulez, Switzerland; Gustav Mahler in Ferrare, Italy; and Santander, Spain.
As part of the Cycle de Perfectionnement, her post-graduate studies program with Philippe Muller, Aurélienne represented the Conservatory of Paris at the Chamberfest festival in New York and the Kyoto International Music Students Festival. She received a Société Générale scholarship in 2006/07 and was acclaimed as “2007 Classical Revelation” by Adami.
She is currently studying with Jens Peter Maintz at the University of Arts of Berlin.
She plays an 1859 Nicolas-François Vuillaume cello.
